The certification programs of Analytics Society of India provide know-how on how to use analytics to improve business performance using case studies on Indian and multi-national companies.
‘Opinion’ based decision making can be very risky and often leads to incorrect decisions. The quality of the decision can be improved using data analysis. ASI’s certification programs cover three main components of analytics namely business context, technology and data science.
Any individual/student enrolled in a part-time/full-time program at a recognized university at any graduation level is eligible to take up the examination. A participant can register for the examination through any of the partner institutions of ASI or directly.
There are three levels of certifications under ASI. These certifications are primarily meant for participants who are pursuing/completed their UG/PG degree in any discipline with a basic understanding of statistics. These certifications will help showcase one’s business analytics skill to jumpstart a career in analytics domain. ASI’s distinctive feature is its strong focus on business context and analytical skills that are necessary to be a successful data scientist.
The three levels put together are designed to provide in-depth knowledge of analytics tools and techniques that can be used for fact-based decision making.
ASI offers certification across three levels. Our short-term and long-term training programmes on analytics equip employees with ability to analyse and act on the data in real time and improve their performance in analytics projects.
Level I: Beginners Level – Introduction to Business Analytics
This level starts off with data exploration, pre-processing and imputation. Participants will be introduced to the open source software to aid analysis. Along with visualisation, both supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms will be the focus.
Level II: Intermediate Level – Advanced Analytics
Advanced forecasting models like auto-regressive (AR) and moving average (MA), optimisation analytics, dimension reduction techniques, regularised regression and ensemble techniques form the core components of this level. The level ends with understanding Markov chains and its applications in solving analytics problems.
Level III: Advanced Level – Business Analytics Pro
The level introduces to handling the 4 Vs of data which make it Big Data, analytics on unstructured data followed by advanced supervised learning algorithms. Dedicated module on artificial intelligence and deep learning will expose the participants to recent advancement in analytics.
Delivery and Certification
For all the levels, participants will be evaluated through take-home assignments and a final assessment at the end of the training program. The training will be conducted live at the premises of the partner institution by a mix of faculty drawn from consultants from academia such as IIMB, IISc, IIMB Analytics Alumni and ASI nominated academicians.
Participants who secure a minimum of 50% marks will be awarded a ‘Certificate of Completion’ by ASI. Other participants will only receive a ‘Certificate of Participation’.
These programs can vary anywhere between 1 week to year long.
